Job Description Department of Space Indian Space Research Organisation NATIONAL REMOTE SENSING CENTRE Applications are invited for the following positions on temporary basis for a maximum period of three years from the eligible candidates: Research Scientist (PB-3 Rs.15600- 39100 +GP Rs.5400/-) Discipline: System, Network & Security Administrators No. of posts: 02 Essential qualifications: BE/BTech (CSE/ECE) Desirable qualifications: Candidates with experience in Systems hardware & OS/LAN/ WAN/Network storage/ Backup/ Security/Middleware will be preferred. Knowledge & experience in databases, object oriented programming, GIS is added advantage. Research Scientist (PB-3 Rs.15600-39100 +GP Rs.5400/-) Discipline: Database Administrator No. of posts: 01 Essential qualifications: BE/BTech (CSE/ECE) Desirable qualifications: Candidates with experience in Database design/Database administration /Enterprise databases/Spatial databases/ Database security will be preferred. Knowledge & experience in system, network & security administration, object oriented programming, GIS is added advantage. Knowledge & experience in various GIS API programming, object oriented technologies, free/open source GIS products is added advantage. Research Scientist (PB-3 Rs.15600-39100 +GP Rs.5400/-) Discipline: GIS & Software Engineer for DSS Development No. of posts: 06 Essential qualifications: BE/BTech (CSE) Desirable qualifications: Candidates with experience in Software development using OO languages / J2EE/MS.Net/GIS database design/Clientserver & web architectures will be preferred. Knowledge & Experience in RDBMS, UML, XML, Arc Objects and free/open source GIS products is added advantage. Age Limit: 35 years as on 29.07.2011 Pay & Allowances: Selected candidates will be offered the fellowship as Research Scientist in the pay band of Rs.15600-39100/- with grade pay of Rs.5400/-. The gross emoluments in the minimum of pay band will at present be approximately Rs.31,710/-. In addition HRA at the prescribed rates in force at the place of posting will be paid.
