A Walk-in-Interview will be held on 9th August, 2011 at 11.00 A.M. at CGCRI to engage Sr. Research Fellow(Proj) and Jr. Research Fellow(Proj.) respectively for working in two different sponsored projects of DST tenable at this Institute. The posts are purely temporary and will be coterminus with the duration of the project. The details are as follows:
Title of the Project: (1)“ Development of thulium doped optical fibre for use as fibre laser in medical and industrial applications”.
(2) “Modelling and fabrication of rare-earth doped double cladded polarizing Photonic Crystal Fibre (PCF) for high power amplifiers and lasers”.

Educational Qualifications: 1st Class M. Sc in Electronics/ Applied Optics/Physics with two years experience’
Or
M.Tech. in Optoelectronics/ Applied Optics or in equivalent subject with one year experience.
Upper age Limit: 32 years
Stipend per month: Rs.14,000/- + H.R.A. as per rules.

NOTE: Possessing of minimum educational qualification and background will not guarantee selection for a candidate and the decision of the committee will be final.

Tenure: One year or co-terminus with the duration of the project.

Interested candidates are requested to attend the interview as above and bring applications addressed to Director CGCRI, Kolkata giving complete biodata (including name, father’s name, date of birth, educational qualification, experience, permanent and present address with phone number, E-mail etc.) along with one self attested copy of each marksheet and certificate. The original certificates also should be brought for verification. Candidates should report at least one hour before the interview for verification. Interim enquires in this respect will not be attended.
