Education:The minimum qualification for JRF & SRF is M. Tech. Degree in Radio Physics and Electronics or equivalent/ M. Sc. in Physics with Electronics as a special subject/ M. Sc. in Electronic Science/ M. Sc. in Atmospheric Science. For SRF, additionally, the applicants should have two years of research experience in the relevant area with publications in refereed Journals. The tenure of the Fellowships for JRF and Project Assistant is one year at present but is likely to be continued till the end of the project. The post of SRF is tenable for a maximum period of two years.

Interested and eligible candidates are requested to appear before a Selection Committee on September 9, 2011 at 12 noon in the room of the Secretary, Faculty Council for P.G. Studies in Science, Technology and Agriculture, C.U., 92, A.P.C. Road Kolkata -700 009 for the following posts in the ISRO funded Research Projects under S. K. Mitra Centre for Research in Space Environment.

One Project Assistant for the project entitled “Studies on Aerosol Environment at Kolkata Located Near the Land-Ocean Boundary as a Part of ARFI Network under ISRO-GBP” sponsored by Space Physics Laboratory, VSSC, ISRO, under the supervision of Prof. Animesh Maitra.

The minimum qualification for Project Assistant is B. Tech. Degree in Radio Physics and Electronics or equivalent/ M. Sc. in Physics/ M. Sc. in Electronic Science/ M. Sc. in Atmospheric Sciences. The tenure of the Project Assistantship is one year at present but is likely to be continued till the end of the project

Remuneration will be as per the sanction of the Funding Agency and the norms of the host Institution. Upper age limit for all the posts is 28 years as on 01.06.2011, relaxable up to 5 years for Woman / SC / ST candidates.
