National Institute of Ocean Technology (NIOT), Chennai, a technical arm of the Ministry of Earth Sciences, Govt. of India, is functioning with broad objective of promoting technology development in various mission mode objective activities related to Ocean Engineering and Ocean Resource utilisation. Scientific Assistant Grade – A (Civil)
Pay Scale: PB - 2, Rs. 9300-34800 + GP Rs. 4200/-
Number of posts: 1 (Reserved for ST)
Eligibility Criteria
1. Diploma in Civil Engineering (with 60% marks) or its equivalent qualification from a recognized Board or University.
2. Basic knowledge of computer
Job Requirement
Survey and Execution of civil structural works and assisting Scientist in Design and analysis of Civil Structures

Age limit: Not exceeding 28 years with relaxation of upper age limit by 5 years for candidates belonging to ST category
Outstation candidates called for the Interview will be reimbursed the fare limited to single third class A/c fare by the shortest route from the place of duty / residence and back, subject to production of tickets.
