Research Position (JRF)

Applications are invited for the one posts of JRF  for the project entitled “Scale variant geospatial feature mapping using spatio- temporal data in and around Parvati Valley, HP”  funded by DTRL, DRDO, Min. of Defence, New Delhi.

Qualifications :  M.A./M.Sc. (Geography/Geology/Remote Sensing and GIS) with at least 55% marks

Job Requirements: Analysis of satellite Imageries, field survey in Himachal Pradesh and other states, tabulation and analysis of primary and secondary data, assistance in report writing.

Period of Project : 12 months
Emoluments : Rs 12 000 per month (consolidated)

Candidate Profile:

i.Good knowledge of handling multi-sensor, high resolution digital satellite data ii. Minimum one year post P.G Experience in Remote Sensing, GIS, digital image processing work preferably through ERDAS & ARC GIS softwares iii.M.Phil, Experience in Research/ Data Analysis/ Knowledge of SPSS iv. Experience in handling GPS and other field instrument in field.
