North Eastern Police Academy - SITUATION VACANT
(A) Posts of Constables -
Applications are invited from Indian citizens, for 21 (twenty one) posts of Constables in different categories (GD / Band / MT), in the Pay Band of PB-1 Rs. 5200-20100+1800/- (GP) and other allowances as per Central Govt. Rules, in North Eastern Police Academy, Meghalaya.
1. Constable (General Duty)
No. of posts: 12 (Twelve) 8 – UR 3 – OBC 1 – SC
General duty in Quarter Guard / Watch & Ward duty / Training etc.

2. Constable (Band)
No. of posts: 2 (Two) 1 – UR 1 – OBC
To play band instruments

3. Constable (Motor Transport)
No. of posts: 7 (Seven) 6 – UR 1 – OBC
Driving and Maintenance of Govt. Vehicles.
Note –
(1) Minimum Educational Qualification - (i) Matriculate or equivalent for Constable (GD)
(ii) Class VIII passed for Constable (Band) & (MT)
(2) (i) Age – Constable (GD) – 18 to 22 years, as on 15/09/2011. Relaxable upto 3 years for OBC candidates and 5 years for SC candidates, as well as upto 35 years for Govt. Servants in accordance with the instructions issued by the Central Govt.
(ii) Age – Constable (Band) and Constable (MT) - 18 to 25 years, as on 15/09/2011. Relaxable upto 3 years for OBC candidates and 5 years for SC candidates, as well as upto 35 years for Govt. Servants in accordance with the instructions issued by the Central Govt.
(3) Physical Standards (for all posts) –
(i) Height – 165 Cms (Minimum)
(ii) Chest (a) 79 Cms – Unexpanded (Minimum)
(b) 84 Cms – Expanded (Minimum)
